LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) – The Obama administration has opened the floodgates. Even as America shudders from the latest spate of Islamic-inspired terror, Obama has opened a “Refugee Processing Center” in Jordan, to accelerate the admission of refugees into the United States.
About 600 people per day are coming to the center and their only vetting appears to be an interview. Background checks and investigations may not yield much information because of the devastated infrastructure within Syria.
Potential immigrants have been “fast tracked” to complete their process in just three months instead of the usual two years.
Also, the oft-cited 10,000 refugees, which was at one point a ceiling on the number of refugees we would allow, is now considered to be a “floor.” That fact is according to the regional refugee coordinator at the U.S. Embassy in Jordan.
Nobody knows why Obama is so dead set on admitting thousands of refugees from a war-ravaged, terrorist infested region. Certainly we want to grant asylum to all who ask for it. However, there are few ways to guarantee the people who enter the country mean us no ill will. Until we can guarantee that those refugees are safe for entry into the United States, we should simply not allow it. Our president’s first responsibility is to the American people, not those overseas, no matter how pressing their need.
