Join us for the *Shira* Fastavile celebrating the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

Mar Addai Kaldean Apostolic Church in El Cajon (San Diego), California, will celebrate the Feast of the Assumption on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The event begins at 6:30 PM with the Evening Prayer (Ramsha) for the Feast, followed by the Traditional Chaldean Divine Liturgy= Qudasha, and a procession of the icon of the Virgin Mary to the church courtyard, accompanied by the singing of the famous Chaldean hymn “B’shma d’Baba w’Bruna…” (In the name of the Father and the Son…).

Afterward, we will share a communal meal (Potluck) —a *Shira*—featuring dishes   prepared by the skilled cooks of our Chaldean kitchen.

Note: A game of Bingo will follow dinner (good luck to everyone).
