President Trump has just followed through on another campaign promise to help make America safer by restricting refugees and visas from countries where terrorism and immigrant vetting are a problem. In a bold move akin to Reagan helping Russian Jews escape Soviet Russia, he has called for fast tracking Christian refugees to the United States as they have never been connected to terrorism and have assimilated well into American society and face the greatest level of persecution from radical Muslims. My Chaldean father left Iraq in order to be rid of institutional Islamic oppression and be able to practice his Catholic faith freely so I completely agree with this policy which puts the interests of America first, not the Muslim Brotherhood as had been the practice under the Obama regime. Remarkably, some liberal christian organizations like the misnamed, National Association of Evangelicals(NAE) oppose this policy, but because of their progressive stances(climate change, immigration and nukes) they have a difficult time of putting the interests of America or Christians first but instead are hell bent on promoting a liberal globalist agenda.
NPR correspondent Mara Liasson reports that the actions include a 120-day moratorium on any new refugees entering the United States to give the government time to come up with a plan that prioritizes Christians suffering from religious persecution.
Another action would indefinitely block new Syrian refugees from entering the United States. There will be a 30-day ban on immigration from seven countries with predominantly Muslim populations: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen and Sudan.
The Associated Press reports that Trump will order the Pentagon and State Department to come up with a plan to provide safe zones in Syria and the surrounding region for Syrians denied visas to enter the U.S.
On Friday Trump said that his actions would “keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America.”
“We don’t want them here,” Trump said as he signed the order. “We want to ensure that we are not admitting into our country the very threats our soldiers are fighting overseas. We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people.”
It is hard to find fault with the President’s reasoning and gracious attempt to find the best fix for both Christian and Muslim refugees, but some left leaning christian groups like World Relief and National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) have criticized the President’s decision. They have misleadingly claimed that no refugees have ever committed an act of terrorism in America. While the point may be factually correct, it ignores the reality that there are recent examples in Europe and many refugees eventually become naturalized but fail to assimilate and then radicalize their children and other native born Americans when they do come here. The fact is that while most Muslims are not terrorists, most terrorists are Muslims and this needs to be addressed by limiting and scrutinizing their entry into the United States. Israel does this and it has drastically reduced their terrorism problem. In this century, thousands of innocent Americans have died at the hands of a multitude of Jihadis both foreign born, naturalized and converts. By ignoring the issue because of a slavishness to political correctness, we are not doing anyone any favors and are just exasperating the problem of weaponized jihadis in America.
“Our concern is that this action really does further traumatize a group of people that have already borne so much tragedy,” said Scott Arbeiter, president of the liberal organization, World Relief, one of nine agencies that partner with the federal government to resettle refugees. Their views are echoed by other leftist social justice warriors like the UN Refugee Agency, which expressed concern about the provision in Trump’s executive order that would prioritize Christians fleeing persecution and conflict in Muslim-majority countries over Muslims fleeing those same countries. Abed Ayoub of the American-Arab Anti Discrimination organization has also criticized this policy as destructive to Muslims but offers no other alternative to terrorism but allowing more of the same unvetted Muslim immigration that has gutted much of Europe. The insane globalist elite agenda to impose Islamization on Americans is now coming to a halt thanks to Trump’s America First policies.
Sadly, Liberal Christian groups have teamed up with globalist and Muslim Brotherhood aligned groups to advocate for a decidedly unAmerican agenda and it is incumbent that American patriots stand up to this kind of nonsense so as to reverse the great harm to our long term safety that has occurred under Obama. Bans against radical movements that seek violent revolution are nothing new. The US has a long standing Communist Control Act going back to 1954 which forbids entry of anyone who promotes communist revolution or a totalitarian dictatorship, like what we see in Saudi Arabia or the old Soviet Union. An immigrant can be banned if he belongs to an organization seeking to overthrow the US government by “force, violence, or other unconstitutional means.” The Koran and the Hadith present Sharia(Islamic Law) and demand submission to Islam, which is antithetical to the US Constitution, as well as to our Republic and way of life. As Muslim populations grow, they have historically used wars and terrorism to ethnically cleanse a nation and turn them into Sharia lands under the heavy hand of Islam. If you believe the propaganda that Islam is a peaceful religion, ask yourself one question: Why is there no peace in the lands of the “religion of peace”?
Jihadis have also engaged in violent acts against the US government and its citizens in order to bring about a totalitarian form of political Islam in America which makes their entry into this country especially problematic. Despite European cowardice, Thomas Jefferson stood up to and defeated the terrorism of the Islamic State during the Barbary Pirate wars and this is why patriots today must stand up to the Islamofascists and their leftwing sympathizers who oppose Trump’s common sense refugee policy. America has a right to determine who can come into our glorious nation as not all immigrants equally benefit our national interests. So called “Christian” organizations like the NAE need to repent for not prioritizing the needs of persecuted Christians as the Bible mandates in Galatians 6:10: “So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith.”
