A Chaldean Catholic Priest Forever
With all the comfort of conscience, humility, dignity, sadness and hope, and after the Ramsha –Evening Prayer on Friday the 15th of July 2016, Father Noel Gorgis, the son and priest of the Chaldean Church for the past 27 years, gave his final blessings as a priest in the Chaldean Church under the leadership of His Beatitude Patriarch Louis Raphael Sako, standing in front us, the parishioners of his flock whom he had served sincerely and passionately at St. Peter’s Chaldean Catholic Cathedral in San Diego, California, as assistant pastor of the Bishop.
This genuine son of the Chaldean Church, the victim, Fr. Noel Gorgis, will remain a Chaldean Catholic priest forever with the help of the Lord, and he will continue his priestly service for his Chaldean Church who is the successor of the authentic apostolic inheritance. He will remain firm by his faith, liberated and free to proclaim the Gospel, and to serve the people of his dear Chaldean Nation.
You will hear the same voice of Father Noel Gorgis, pure as usual, where he will remain an advocate for the truth, faithful, declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ who offered His life for us. He will continue his priestly service non-stop to preserve the spiritual inheritance of the Chaldean liturgy by celebrating the confirmed Apostolic Chaldean Mass of Mar Addai and Mar Mari the two apostles of the East.
pray to the Lord that He may help Fr. Noel as he walks through the path of truth, and nothing is more fitting than to recite this from Psalm 23: Marya Raaye – “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”.
